Chile/Agentina - 7 Days

See the highlights of the spectacular Patagonia region on this 7-day tour starting from Chile’s capital city. With a combination of guided activities and free time, this tour allows you to make the most of your time in Patagonia. Discover some of Patagonia’s most beautiful features, including the UNESCO World Heritage listed Perito Moreno Glacier and Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.
Finishing in Ushuaia this tour is the perfect way to connect with your Antarctica cruise.

DAY 1: Arrival transfer in Santiago

On arrival into Santiago you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 1: Santiago de Chile

Santiago, Chile’s capital and largest city, lies in a valley surrounded by the snow-capped mountains of the Andes and the Chilean Coastal Range. Founded in 1541, Santiago has been Chile’s capital since colonial times. It is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city and although it features many colonial buildings, it has grown into a modern metropolis and the cultural centre of the country.

DAY 1: Santiago Panoramic City Tour

Take a tour of the charismatic Santiago, visiting both the old and new areas of the city. Highlights include the Plaza de Armas, the city's central square and the heart of the city’s old colonial core. The Plaza de Armas is home to the beautiful 18th century Metropolitan Cathedral, the early 19th century Royal Court Palace that houses the Natural History Museum and the Central Post Office completed in 1882. The Chess Club of Chile also meets here most days, a great opportunity to watch the locals immersed in a game of chess. Visit Cerro Santa Lucia, the hill on which Santiago was founded in 1541, now a park with fountains and stairs leading to a fort and panoramic viewpoint across the city.

DAY 2: Transfer to the airport for onward destination

In the morning, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your outward flight from Santiago.

DAY 2: Hotel Las Torres - Arrival

We will meet you at your arrival point and take you to Hotel Las Torres, located inside Torres Del Paine National Park. This transfer is up to 5 hours in length on good paved and dirt roads and offers a great introduction in the wide open expanses of the Patagonian pampas. (Pick ups at 0930 and 1530 from the airport.)

DAY 3: Explore Torres del Paine National Park

There are no set itineraries for your stay at Hotel Las Torres. Each day you can choose from a selection of five to ten different activities selected according to the weather and your interests. These include hiking, horseback riding, van or motorboat excursions. In groups no larger than ten guests accompanied by a bilingual guide, explorations allow an in-depth contact with the wonders of Torres del Paine National Park, year round.

DAY 4: Explore Torres del Paine National Park

There are no set itineraries for your stay at Hotel Las Torres. Each day you can choose from a selection of five to ten different activities selected according to the weather and your interests. These include hiking, horseback riding, van or motorboat excursions. In groups no larger than ten guests accompanied by a bilingual guide, explorations allow an in-depth contact with the wonders of Torres del Paine National Park, year round.

DAY 5: Hotel Las Torres - Departure

At the appropriate time you will be transferred to the point of your onward travel.

DAY 5: Arrive in el Calafate

Arrival in el Calafate and Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 5: El Calafate

El Calafate flanks the southern shore of Lago Argentino in the southwest part of Argentina’s Santa Cruz Province. The town is near the edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field and one of the gateways to World Heritage Listed Parque Nacional Los Glaciers. The name El Calafate is derived from the calafate plant common in Patagonia. The town’s main street, Avenida del Libertador General San Martín, is lined with restaurants, cafes, chocolate shops and souvenir shops.

DAY 6: El Calafate: Free Day

Today is free to spend at your leisure in El Calafate and the surroundings.

DAY 6: Optional Tour

Option: Venture into Los Glaciares National Park to see the World Famous Perito Moreno Glaciar

DAY 7: Transfer to the airport for onward destination

Private transfer to the airport for your outward flight from El Calafate.
